Hi, I’m Mel! A Perth-based photographer, mum of two, and the person behind the lens capturing families through some of life’s most meaningful moments.

From pregnancy and those fleeting newborn days to the beautiful chaos of family life, I know just how quickly time moves. One moment you are in the thick of it, and the next you are wondering where the years have gone. That is what draws me to photography. The chance to slow things down and preserve the moments that matter most.

My sessions are calm, relaxed and gently guided, creating space for genuine connection, emotion and natural interaction to unfold effortlessly. With over 14 years of experience, my priority has always been creating an experience where families feel comfortable, cared for and completely at ease.

Over the years, my style has evolved into something more refined and emotive, focusing not only on how these moments looked, but how they felt. The connection, the softness, the quiet in-between moments, and the beauty in simply being together.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll usually find me doing something creative, walking our Family dog, or being a full-time mum taxi driving between school runs, soccer training, and everyday family life. I’ve always loved art, painting, creativity, and finding beauty in the little moments. I think that naturally flows into the way I photograph families.
